About

Peaceful action, everywhere

Protest Now helps people find and organize nonviolent, lawful civic demonstrations and community assemblies — wherever they live.

We are politically neutral. We don't endorse any party, candidate or cause. Any peaceful, lawful gathering that follows our Community Guidelines is welcome.

How it works

  • Anyone can browse published events — no account needed.
  • Organizers create an account, verify their email and submit events.
  • Moderators review every event and comment before it goes public.
  • We never publish attendee lists or anyone's location. RSVPs are an anonymous count only.

Frequently asked questions

What is Protest Now?

Protest Now is a free, politically neutral directory where people can find and list nonviolent, lawful civic demonstrations, rallies and community assemblies worldwide. It does not endorse any party, candidate or cause.

How do I find a peaceful protest or demonstration near me?

Open Discover and type your city. You can also filter by country, topic and date. Only events that moderators have published are shown, sorted by date, with the time shown in the event's own time zone and in yours.

Who organizes the events?

Events are organized by independent, third-party organizers — individuals, groups or organizations. Protest Now does not organize events. Each event page shows the organizer name or pseudonym they chose, and any public contact they provided.

How are events reviewed?

Organizers must create an account and confirm their email. Every new or edited event goes into a moderation queue and only appears publicly after a moderator approves it. Moderators check the listing against the Community Guidelines (nonviolent, lawful, public meeting place, no hate speech or private addresses).

Does a review mean an event is safe or has a permit?

No. Moderation checks the content of the listing only. Protest Now does not verify permits, safety arrangements, attendance or that an event will take place. Check details with the organizer and local authorities before you go.

How current is the information?

Listings are created and updated by organizers. Edited events return to review before they are public again. Past events drop out of search; anyone can report an outdated or harmful listing with the Report button.

Is my participation tracked?

No. Browsing needs no account. The "I'm going" button is anonymous and only shows a total count — there are no attendee lists, no ads and no third-party trackers.
